AugSpeech Errors in School going Children
The early years of schooling are a significant time in children’s development, with implications for their educational achievement, future lives, and society (Grunewald & Rolnick).
Communication in the school environment is presented to be challenging for all children. And it’s particularly more challenging for children with speech and language disorders.
Children with speech sound disorders, their parents and teachers have difficulty in meeting the children’s learning needs. This affects their confidence and participation in classroom learning experiences. Additionally, there are indications of the impact of the children’s speech sound disorders on their educational progress. The children’s educational experiences also concerned their parents as they endeavored to support and promote their children’s learning outcomes, and concerned their teachers in meeting the needs of these children and their families.
Children learn how to talk and listen at different rates irrespective of the children’s language development. If you’re worried about your child’s speech development or their teacher has concerns, the best thing you can do is get it checked out professionally.
